UC Students & Families

Academic planning and college success support for students navigating the University of California system.

Getting into a UC is a major accomplishment. Understanding how to move through it efficiently is a different challenge.

UC students are expected to understand college, campus, major, general education, and graduation requirements—often while competing for classes and adjusting to a faster pace.

Is my student taking the right classes?

Will AP, IB, A-Level, transfer, or community-college credit actually satisfy requirements?

Are prerequisites being completed in the right order?

Could changing majors add an extra term or year?

A clear plan helps students make informed decisions before registration problems or missing requirements become expensive.

Two Ways I Support UC Students

Degree Plan & Academic Roadmap

We review the student’s UC campus, college, major, completed coursework, incoming credit, and remaining requirements. The result is a semester-by-semester roadmap that shows what to take, when to take it, and what needs to be verified with the university.

College Success Coaching

A plan only helps if the student can carry it out. Coaching provides structure, accountability, and practical systems for managing deadlines, registration, communication, office hours, campus resources, and the weekly work college requires.

What We Can Work Through

✓ General education, college, major, and graduation requirements

✓ AP, IB, A-Level, transfer, and community-college credit

✓ Prerequisite chains and courses offered only during certain terms

✓ Registration preparation and questions for official advisors

✓ Major exploration or changes without losing unnecessary time

✓ Realistic term-by-term workload planning

✓ Weekly routines, organization, accountability, and follow-through

Support That Builds Independence

The goal is not to manage college for the student. It is to help the student understand the system, make informed decisions, and build the habits needed to become increasingly independent.

Universities provide important advising, but students and families may still need more time to understand the options, prepare questions, and connect individual decisions to the full degree plan.

I help students arrive at official advising appointments informed, organized, and ready to use those appointments well.
