You For High School Counselors & Educators
A trusted referral option for students who may need continued degree planning, structure, and accountability after they enter college.
College acceptance is an important milestone. For some students, it is also the point where the structure that helped them succeed begins to disappear.
High school counselors and educators often recognize the students who are academically capable but may struggle when college requires them to manage registration, prerequisites, deadlines, communication, and long-term planning more independently.
You may be thinking about a student who has strong potential but becomes overwhelmed easily, needs repeated reminders, is unsure how to ask for help, or does not yet understand how college requirements fit together.
Aaren College Coaching gives families a place to turn for individualized support during that transition.
Two Ways I Support Referred Students
Degree Plan & Academic Roadmap
Students receive a personalized semester-by-semester roadmap based on their college, major, completed coursework, incoming credit, prerequisites, and graduation or transfer requirements.
College Success Coaching
Students receive ongoing support with weekly planning, organization, accountability, communication, campus resources, and follow-through. The goal is to help the student become increasingly confident and independent.
Students Who May Benefit
✓ Capable students who become overwhelmed by increased independence
✓ Students who need a clearer understanding of degree requirements
✓ Students with ADHD or executive function challenges
✓ Students who procrastinate, miss deadlines, or struggle to begin
✓ International students learning an unfamiliar U.S. college system
✓ Homeschool students transitioning into a more structured college environment
✓ Families seeking supplemental support between college advising appointments
A Simple Referral Process
1. Share this page or the Services page with the student or family.
2. The family schedules a free consultation.
3. We talk through the student’s goals, college, current concerns, and level of support needed.
4. I recommend a Degree Plan, College Success Coaching, or another appropriate starting point.
Families make the final decision, and the student remains at the center of the process.
